Course Expectations:

Participants will set up their own blog during the first class, and create at least one post per class covering the content of the course. They will send an e-mail message to the class providing their published blog address. Additionally, participants will set up an RSS feed reader to follow the postings of other class members.  Posts are to continue as the participants develop their final, published web 2.0 activity.  The URL for that publication, along with an explanation of how it will be used, will be written as a final blog posting.

Course Project:

The purpose of the project is to give you experience planning a lesson that incorporates technology to enhance student learning.  The project also provides an opportunity for you to gain additional practice experimenting with  new technologies.  Finally, the project allows you to showcase your skills in the final class, sharing it with your classmates face-to-face and electronically as a final blog posting.

Your have a lot of freedom in choosing your own project.  I encourage you to choose a project that complements your teaching style and supports the teaching and learning of content in one of your classes.  I will be happy to meet with you to help you choose an appropriate project if you'd like.
